==========================

Ahaheim, CA - 2010 - Anaheim RV Village, #418 - 419

RATING: 1 – Yuck, 2 – Poor, 3 – Fair, 4 – Good, 5 - Excellent
Overall Rating:
Would you stay here again: Yes
Dates: March 4 – 8, 2010 (3 nights at $46.89/nite)
Quality of Facilities; Layout and Visual Appeal: 4
It’s an RV park inside the city. So it is a bit sterile, but appealing. It’s fairly large with about 200 sites. It is totally flat with paved interior streets and cement pads. It is under new ownership so they are working hard at making it the ‘best’ RV park. There are lots of palm trees scattered about and grassy areas at most of the sites with an acrylic picnic table that is in good shape. Right now guests are given two side by side sites with one for parking their car. The individual sites are too small for your trailer and car too. Most sites are back-ins with some pull-thrus for the big rigs.
Location: 4
If you want to be close to Disneyland, this is an excellent location. It is a .6 mile walk to Disneyland. There is a shuttle, but it only comes early in the morning and returns early evening or at closing. You have to pay in advance ($3.00).
Noise/Quiet: 2
It is next to a very busy main road, so there is lots of traffic noise. Also helicopter noise and I hear a train horn nearby on occasion. But, it is quiet enough at night. I do not have to wear earplugs.
Staff: 4
Very friendly and accommodating
Amenities: 3
Full hook-ups w local TV (about 5 stations, the rest are Chinese or Spanish), free Wifi (easy logon, but takes time, signal fairly strong).
Recreation: 0None
Laundry Room: n/aDid not use
Comfort Station: 3
Large with lots of showers. Showers are small with a solid door and then plastic shower door. Found only one with a bench. Not enough hooks. And large gap on either side of solid door which takes away good privacy. Lots of hot water with good pressure. Stalls are a bit old and could use some remodeling.
Assigned RV Site #418 & 419: 4

Our trailer just fits into the site, so we were given the next site to park our car. It looked like that was done with all of the sites. There is a grassy area between sites where the picnic table is. The same set-up was done next door, so we had a large area between the next trailer. Made for lots of privacy and less noise. We asked for a selection of sites to choose from and we were given a few choices.
Park Residents/Neighbors: 4

It was pretty empty around us. W e had a next door neighbor for the first night, but never saw them. Most of the other trailers were on the other side of the main building. We didn’t meet or see any of the other residents or guests, except for the couple we met while waiting for the shuttle. All was quiet.

Fortuna, CA - 2011 - Riverwalk RV Park, #25

RATING: 1 – Yuck, 2 – Poor, 3 – Fair, 4 – Good, 5 - Excellent
Overall Rating:
Would you stay here again: Yes
Dates: July 10 & 11, 2011 (2 nites) $45.54 w Good Sam
Quality of Facilities; Layout and Visual Appeal:   4
A very nice, clean RV Park. The sites are spacious and level and nicely laid out. Interior roads and the sites are paved. There is grass on both sides of each site. Each site has a picnic table. No fire rings. There is lots of shade trees (lots of young redwood trees). Easy access from the Hwy 101. There are many permanent residents, but their sites are not trashy. Park is very clean and there is no clutter lying about. Street and site lighting is adequate and does not invade your trailer at night.
Location:   4   Good loction. Easy access from highway. Near town, but not in town. Close to Eel River.
Noise/Quiet:   3.5   There is some noise from the highway, but not loud enough to wear earplugs at night. No train noise. There was a small plane noise only once during our stay. There was some landscaping noise, but only a short time on the first day.
Staff:  4   Friendly and accommodating. I asked for a choice of available sites and I was given 4 to choose from.
Amenities:  3   Full hookups, cable TV with around 60 channels and clear pictures.
Free WiFi at each site. Easy log in with a strong signal. But the connection is slow and sometimes you can’t get online.
Recreation:  3   Nice pool and spa. Rec room off of office and store with large screen TV and pool table. No activities.
Laundry Room:   4   Clean with fairly new machines. 6 washers and dryers. $2.25 wash, .25 per 6 minutes for drying.
Comfort Station: 3   Small (2 stalls), old, but clean. Showers are in another building where there are about 5 private rooms each with shower and bench. Shower stalls are small, old, but clean with lots of hot water and free.
Assigned RV Site #25:  4   Our site was very nice and spacious with afternoon shade. Were were close enough to the restrooms and office and away from the highway.
Park Residents/Neighbors:  4   We had different neighbors on both sides for both nights. One had dogs the first night. No kids and all were very quiet.
